Time away

April 3rd, 2008

Between the daily and unexpected bumps in the road. I have been away from my computer. Not to mention that on April 1st my daughter Bree had a 8 lb. 9 oz. baby boy. I spent the night at the hospital while my son-in-law took care of their 3 yr. old. Were all standing by impatiently to know the name they decide upon. Choices NASH, MILES, and CREED. My choice NASH. I have been exercising daily at Proro Rec. on the bikes. I am at the 10 lb. mark. The weight seems to like me alot. It does not want to leave very quickly. I will continue to plug along and keep my double chin up. Shirley Brua

I have sat in a stadium chair at the Marriot Center for three days watching dancing for the Dance Sport program. I didn’t realize how uncomfortable I could be. I also realized that I wasn’t doing my daily exercising. Many years ago I was involved in Ballroom Dancing and the excercise was trememdous. I was so warn our watching I could hardly make it up those 1000 steps I had to do to get out of the stadium. Just kidding there weren’t that many, It just felt like it. Hope to have a great week.

Shirley Brua working hard

March 8th, 2008

I knew this was going to be hard. Changing bad habits are hard to do when you enjoy baking and cooking. I have had to rethink the portions and pull back from the table sooner. All of you who know me remember how active I was, however after a car accident in 2001 in Washington County all of my activity stopped abruptly and my life changed. Thru much rehab and hard work I am back and ready to change the body that has developed over these years to a new and better me.
