To say that the park is a racetrack is an understatement. Larry H. Miller turned what was originally intended to be a $5 million personal playground for driving into a $100 million dollar state-of-the-art racing facility.

On the 511 acre site, the Miller Motorsports Park hosts professional and local racing events, as well as local Supermoto and Kart championships. The club house offers a variety of individual, family or business membership programs and luxurious spectator accommodations for corporate and group events. There is a fantastic museum on site along with various retail and specialty shops. Don’t be surprised if the fancy cars, roaring motors, and high speeds make you want to get in on the action. The park offers motorcycle accommodations, kart rental and racing, a driving school, and even camping for certain events. It is much more than a racetrack!

The main course, designed by the world-renowned designer Alan Wilson, is actually four tracks combined, and includes a 4.5-mile, 23-turn Full Course, noted as the longest lap in North America; the 3.08-mile 15-turn Outer Course; the 2.24-mile, 15-turn East Course; and the 2.18-mile, 10-turn West Course. The track is made for speed. The front straight on the Full Course is 3,500 feet long, allowing the race cars and motorcycles to reach 200 mph before braking for the first turn, as noted in the information pamphlet obtained in the museum.

The racing season begins in April and runs through October and there is almost always an event through the weekend. Tickets for spectators are offered in two different types. The Grandstand Ticket is for the true fan and offers a shaded seat with a 95 percent view of the course. The second type of ticket is the General Admission Ticket. It is inexpensive and allows you to sit or stand at the surrounding fence line of the track. Bring a folding chair and a blanket and enjoy the race. These tickets range from $5- $125 depending on the day of the week and the event. Check the Web site for event listings and pricing.

If you are already a fan, you will want to check out the race paddock where you may be able to spot a driving star and his or her car or bike up close. And the best part about this feature is that it is included in the price with your general admission ticket. For major events, camping is available to accommodate RVs, but do not plan on camping with a tent as this is not allowed. Reservations are required. Again, see the Web site for further information.
