After a warm week in Provo that turned frigid again just in time for the weekend, we decided to chase the warm-ish weather south for the day and spend a recent Saturday driving to and enjoying Goblin Valley State Park. The park is located off of Highway 24, south of Interstate 70, in south-central Utah, not quite 3.5 hours from Provo—that is, if you go the direct route.

You don’t always have the time or energy to go out and embark on a crazy adventure. So, for those times when you want to go and see something amazing without having to work up too much of a sweat, or lug kids on your back who are too small to hike, there are options out there.

The following information provides a brief description of each of the nine trail complexes of the state:
* Hardware Ranch/Monte Cristo/Logan Canyon Snowmobile Complex is one of northern Utah's unique recreational treasurers. There are 180 miles of groomed snowmobile trails that wind through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. There are six trail heads in the area of Logan to Bear Lake.

SCOFIELD -- Woody Carter was just one of a million other people living in Seattle six years ago. Today, he's one of 29 people living in Scofield.
